Things to do in Dahab

Dahab is primarily known for its scuba diving, which we have discussed in our Dahab Dive Guide, but if you fancy doing something else or are not there for the diving, you may be interested to know what else you can do.

Watersports

Dahab has excellent winds, particularly inside the sand spit which make it a very good place for windsurfing. The wind blows for about 300 days of the year, and provides good surfing for all levels from beginner to advanced. The ares known a the Sped Strip and Baby Bay see the winds pick up and are great for freestyling and the more advanced windsurfer.

Kitesurfing is beginning to take off and there are great opportunities for this activity.

Camel rides

There is the opportunity to ride Camels, one of the trips visits a Bedouin camp up the coast.

Eating out

Around Masbat bay there are plenty of restaurants situated on the waterfront which offer lovely Bedouin style food with views out over the bay. They are very relaxing places to chill out in, often in the style of a Bedouin tent,. and fully recommended. There are also plenty of restaurants in the many hotels in Dahab.
