PADI Rescue Diver Course

This is often considered to be the most fun and challenging dive course from PADI. The course is designed to manage dive emergencies and teaches the diver how to rescue others if they should get into trouble. It involves undertaking underwater searches and teaches first aid.

According to PADI it encompasses:

  • Self-rescue and diver stress
  • Emergency management and equipment
  • Panicked diver response
  • In-water rescue breathing protocols
  • Egress (exits)
  • Dive accident scenarios

Emergency First Response

One of the modules is emergency first response. This teaches the diver how to administer First Aid and CPR. The learning of the medical side of any emergency is very important to an experienced diver.

Next Step

Once this course has been completed, there is a choice of which course to do next. The diver can either choose to become a Master Scuba Diver, or set off on a course leading to Diving Instructor by taking the Divemaster course.
