The Pacific Ocean
The Pacific Ocean is the largest ocean on the planet, and it's name comes from the Latin name Mare Pacificum, which means peaceful sea. It stretches all the way from The arctic in the North, to The antarctic in The South. The Americas are to the east and Australia and Asia are to the West. It covers about 170 million square miles, which is about 30% of the world's surface, more than all the land area put together.
Dive Sites
many of the Dives sites in The Pacific are to be found in The Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, The solomon Islands, Fiji, Australia and New Zealand.
